The B&W photo below is Aceyou showing how NOT to hit a forehand at a tournament in Ojai, CA. This tournament was remarkable in that we had to play in the rain at one point and the gut in Ace's racket literally melted. Somehow, Ace managed a second - place finish, despite the poor form, short shorts, and polyester warmup! |

The photos below are from Ace's one and only International tournament, at Club Med Martinique. The guy with the shades was the local pro (talk about your basic ideal jobs!). This was the same weekend that Michael Chang upset Ivan Lendl and Stefan Edberg to win the French Open. I played a few Frenchmen on my way to the finals, but, unfortunately, I couldn't overcome some early errors and eventually lost to some guy from Tennessee. (Rumor had it that he was really an incognito Roscoe Tanner.) C'est La Vie! |
